I am an equine dentist with 15 years experience, based in North Devon. As well as covering my local area I also travel to North Cornwall, mid Devon and all of Exmoor National Park.
Having worked with, and ridden, young horses all my life, I am passionate about horses having the right start and being understood - as well as understanding what we are asking of them.
Hence what led me into equine dentistry and becoming a full member of the WWAED. As horses can only speak through their behaviour, I am always looking to help them and find the cause behind any issues, with patience and empathy. So it is vital that they are comfortable and pain-free at any age in life, and particularly when they first begin their training as youngsters.
I treat all types and sizes, from mini's to draughts and donkeys, across all disciplines from pets and pleasure horses to top competition athletes, and always take the time to explain to the owner what I'm doing and why.
I am very calm and gentle which enables me to treat young or nervous equines with no drama.
In my free time I enjoy riding and competing my home-bred horses in local dressage and eventing.
