About
I’ve been around horses since I was a child. My family started having riding lessons together, and I quickly caught the bug! I’m really first-generation horsey, and as I grew older, my love of horses only grew stronger. We never had the easiest ponies, so I learnt early on how to deal with the naughty ones!
I initially focused on dressage, competing to a decent level on ponies, before moving into hunting, backing, breaking and producing young horses. This experience gave me a broad understanding of horses, their behaviour and the different ways of working with them.
I studied at Hartpury College, completing a BSc Equine Dental Science degree and graduating in 2000. After college, I bought and sold Irish Sport Horses, as well as backing and breaking horses. As I got older and realised I didn’t bounce quite as well as I used to, I decided to concentrate more on my dentistry!
In 2025, I became a member of the World Wide Association of Equine Dentistry (WWAED), joining a professional organisation committed to maintaining high standards within equine dentistry.
I work with all types of horses and ponies across all disciplines. There’s nothing more rewarding than helping improve a horse’s comfort, wellbeing and performance through good dentistry. My years of experience backing and breaking horses, combined with patience and different approaches to handling, are invaluable when it comes to providing a calm, professional service.
Away from work, I have two very young children who, I keep telling myself, won’t get into horses! Although with the number of ponies that seem to be offered to them every week, I’m not sure how long I’ll be able to keep them away!
For a reliable, friendly and professional equine dentistry service, give me a shout. I’m based in Staffordshire and cover the surrounding counties and areas, with further travel available.
